Sherkica .jpg

Sherkica Miller-McIntyre, MBA, ABR, MPM ®, RMP®

Carod Properties

Sherkica Miller-McIntyre dived headfirst into real estate investing almost 20 years ago providing lease buy-back options to new home construction buyers whose home buying processes were falling through. Buying directly from the builder allowed her to capitalize on both the leasing and sales market in the early 2000’s.  Building passive income from the leases and earning five figure profits on 12-24 months transactions led Sherkica to desire earning an additional source of income… the commission!

After earning her sales license in December 2004, Sherkica immediately gained her Broker’s license in 2005 and earned the title of Broker in Charge of Carod Properties, a Charlotte, NC based boutique real estate and property management firm.

Sherkica, along with her supportive husband and business partner, Gary, has been able to exponentially grow Carod Properties.  Carod Properties is one of the top property management firms in the Charlotte market, currently servicing 21 markets in North and South Carolina. Having served over 500 investor-clients and more than 1500 resident families in North and South Carolina, Sherkica and her team’s ability to match the needs of investors across the world to the housing needs of residents has earned her the moniker of a “one stop shop for investors”.

Her boutique brokerage is a multi-million dollar producing firm, where Sherkica herself actively lists and sells an average of 35 transactions per year not including her specialty work with investor clients as a consultant and project manager.

Sherkica holds both a BSBA and MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.  She is currently an active member of NARPM®️ (National Association of Residential Property Managers) where she has served as: President, Vice-President and Charity and Members Services Chairperson for the Charlotte chapter.  She has enjoyed providing service on several national committees for the organization to include Professional Development, National Member Services and the Annual Convention and Trade Show Committee.  Because of her dedication and service to the organization she has been featured in the National NARPM publication and recently earned her MPM®️, Master Property Manager Designation.

The burning desire to educate her resident-customers on credit; budget and savings; how to maintain and continue to build wealth through homeownership in real estate inspired the creation of DIVAS Doing Real Estate®️; a coaching and consulting firm empowering African American women to pursue real estate as an avenue to create generational wealth.

Her most recent endeavor, A Home For Her, Inc., is Sherkica’s non-profit organization created to provide educational resources and financial assistance to African American female first time homebuyers so that they are not affected by the constraints of typical down payment assistance programs.

Sherkica also is the author of the book. Property Management with a POPP® The Keys to Profit, Occupancy and Property Preservation for the Novice Landlord.

Sherkica and her husband/business partner of 21 years are the very proud parents of four amazing children. She is a “GlamMa” to both an adorable Alaskan Husky and a Pomsky, loves to travel and has found a passion for adult coloring books.
